- Remember to bring water
- Reminder: We are on an abbreviated schedule until our grand opening. Our classes are Tue and Thu at 6:30pm and Sat at 8:00am
Congratulations to Mel and Eric for kicking off the first WOD at the newly christened Daybreak Crossfit. The turnout was fantastic. It was great to see the new members mixed in with Eric and Mel’s longtime friends.
I am really excited to have Mel back in the public domain and look forward to many days of gasping for breath with sore muscles (sort of).

“Beam Me Up” 7:14. 15 lb FS. Should have done more weight but out of bars and it had been nine months. Ran hard. Esophagus on fire.
What a great class with some awesome people.
“Beam Me Up” 9:42 Could have done more weight, but the 10 & 15 bumpers weren’t in yet. 55#
Had some familiar faces and a bunch of new ones to meet. Loved the social 400 Run.
Very excited for Mel & Eric. You guys are going to do fantastic! I hope to do some drop ins here & there with the family.
Wishing you both the best.
BTW, Mel, you’re Mom’s a doll.
Fabulous kick-off, Mel & Rap!
Beam Me Up: 9:02, subbed kettlebell swings for front squats and row for run. First and last set of swings unbroken, set the bell down a few times in the middle set. First row was fast (1:55/500m pace), second and third I struggled to keep at a 2:05/500m pace.
So good to see long-time crossfitters and folks doing their first WODs working out and cheering each other on today!
1:55 pace?! i thought you were “out of shape” 😉
But … but … but … for what it’s worth, I wanted to die on the rowing.
It was good to be back at crossfit. It has been a while! Congratulations to Mel and Eric. I’m excited for the official opening.
Beam Me up – 7:19 rx (135 lb)
I felt ok, did all sets unbroken but felt like I was getting on my toes for some of the reps. Running needs work.
Beam Me Up – 8:55 w/ 15# Felt good – weight was light for me but since but I need to work on getting the squats lower and the elbows higher – I’ll focus on that first and then add on. . . Thanks and nice meeting everyone – hope to meet more of you on Thursday.
7:09 I think, with the 15# bar. Weight was too light, but I haven’t been to crossfit in over a month so it was a nice excuse to focus more on form and to push myself with the running (I hate running!!)
10:17, Rx
Broke 21 into 3 sets, broke 15 into 3 sets, did 9 unbroken…..thanks to Eric or Craig. I definitely would have put the bar down if not for you!
Great class, Mel & Rap! I’m so excited to see your box grow. It was so great to workout with so many familiar faces again 🙂
Beam Me Up…7:35 w/PVC. Light weight but want to make sure have correct technique before start loading up.
