Kill it everyone at DBCF tomorrow night! Wish I could be there to partake in the fun!
40#
15:11
Actually it was 45
Open 15.5 – 14:57 scaled, 35#. First time officially participating in the Open and glad I did! Was able to do all the scaled workouts which surprised me. Thanks Jess for judging and congratulations to you for your RX workout today! Great job!!
15.5 – 13:45rx. Ok friends these are my suggestions:
1. Mel’s brilliant idea to pull hard then recover a bit on the rower is literally life changing. Highly recommend. After the first round it is hard to pull hard, if you are not a strong rower (like me) take 30m to “recover” then pull hard again
2. Go for decent size sets on thrusters. I did 10/10/7, 8/7/6, 9/6 and 9. I know that I rested too long inbtween sets, but with the push of friends all around you, you won’t!
3. Mentally life in this wod gets so much better after the round of 21!
I am def a one and DONE on this one. Good luck everyone, wish I could be there tonight but heading to foxwoods to win millions! Have fun!!!
9:52 had to sub to front squats with a sandbag…not comfortable holding barbell in front rack position with sprained wrist.
15.5 – 16:31 Rx – I echo everything that Erica said above. For me, my thruster sets were smaller. I started out with big sets at the beginning… maybe 9s or 10, (can’t remember) then i was at most sets of 6 and 5 and some 3s and I just chipped away at the reps. Great job 5:30am! Good luck to everyone tonight. Have fun with it!
13:26 Rx – appropriate picture for today – it’s a keep it just below the red-line day.Think I could do a little better, but not really sure that’s a place I want to go to again so soon:-) Great job 9:30 and good luck to everyone tonight.
nice work today!
12:04 Rx
Going to do this one again on Monday!
You’re an animal to already think about doing it again! Great job today – perhaps sub 10 Monday?
U R Nuts! Nice job today
10:05 scaled (45#)
14:02 scaled (45#). Row felt good, thrusters did not 🙂
13:14 scaled
This felt like the first part of Jackie on Groundhog’s Day. You get back to the barbell and think, aw hell no, not you again.
15.5 – 18:23 Rx (i think) – thrusters killed me
11:30 scaled (45#). Everything I had to hang in there after Rnd 1 which I think I did too fast…
Open 15.5 Scaled – 21:30. My goal today was to complete this workout, and though I wasn’t sure at the beginning, I did it!
At minute 10, I could tell your were going to finish! I told Mel that if she had called time at 20 minutes I was going to have to go all rogue on her and tell her NO WAY!
I would have loved to see that Sara! Congratulations Lisa on the finish and nice meeting you last night!
13:06 – done! Loved doing the Open! Thank you to all my judges and congratulations to everyone who competed
15.5 – 9:37 Rx.
Hurts so bad.
15.5 – 10:27rx…. Totally underestimated this Wod. It got so gross so quick.
12:49 Rx. Thanks to Rap for the push though this.
14:13 Rx. thanks Michelle for judging.
14:34 rx thanks andrew for all the encouragement!
