Welcome to the 2014 CrossFit Open season. Everyone in the world is invited to challenge themselves in five workouts over five weeks, posting their scores online in real time. Last year, almost 140,000 athletes participated in the Open.
We are encouraging all Daybreak members to sign-up! The workouts are designed with all abilities in mind, so even newbies will be capable of participating and posting their scores online. Daybreak will be incorporating each of the 5 workouts into our weekly programming, so you’ll be getting a taste whether you enter or not.
Several Daybreak members are aiming for the next level of competition (ie “The Regionals”), so what better way to support them than to throw your hat into the ring with them. We’ll all be working out side-by-side, so you won’t be doing this alone.
We’ll be discussing this more in class and please feel free to reach out to any of our coaches with additional questions. When you’re ready, simply go to the CrossFit Open website and create an account. When asked about your “affiliate” (another name for a CrossFit gym), simply select Daybreak CrossFit. That’s it! You’re in. Congrats… welcome to the 2014 Open season!
