“Megalomaniac” 8 calorie row, 3-6-9. Tough one!
15 calorie row rounds 1-3, then 10, 165 calorie total, 3-6-9!
15 cal row/full round of Cindy. Started with 20 cals but was barely getting it done in 1 minute. Tough Wod. I’m pretty pumped with my rounds of Cindy. I was finishing in about 38-45 seconds.
“Megalomaniac” – 18 cal row / mixed rounds of Cindy. I redlined after doing the first five rounds RX. I think I did 3 more full CIndy rounds and then was mixing in sets of 4/8/12 and 3/6/9. Great workout – I’d like to do that again. For folks in later classes – bring a small towel. I was slipping on the pull ups by round 8 because i sweat like a stuck pig.
Good god… Started out Rx for the first 3 or 4. Then switched back and forth between 15 and 10 cals, and some variation of Cindy that eventually settled on 3/6/9 by the end. This is a fun one.
“Megalomaniac” 8 Cal’s on all rounds except one, that round was 7. Let’s just call that round my working rest! Cindy- 3 PU everything else was as prescribed. One of my favorite WOD’s- Cindy that is..
Santa, all I want for Christmas is longer legs so I can row faster!!!
8 calories, 5 pull-ups/ring dips, 6 push-ups, 9 squats
“Megalomaniac” 15 cal row x 3, 10 cal x 3, 8 cal x 9
Cindy Rx 7 rounds then dropped to 8 sqats per round for the last 8 rounds.
I clearly wasn’t prepared for that, my god, I thought about quitting a lot.
“Megalomaniac” or death by Cindy with rowing…
Row: 1st third-14 cal, 2nd third-10 cal, 3rd-a mix of 10-13 cal. One bad round somewhere in there where I did 5 or 6 and thought about stopping. So glad I didn’t.
Cindy: red band assisted 3-6-9, regular push-ups for about the first third, box assisted squat
Megalomaniac- holy sh*t.
4 rd 12cal, rx cindy
6 rd 10cal, 4/8/12
5 rd 10cal, 3/6/9
I wanted to quit but mel and kate have this look that motivates and scares me all at the same time during wods like this so I can finish
First 4 rounds RX….switched to ring rows due to shoulder. 3/6/15 for 7 rounds at 12 cals. Last 4 rounds 12 cal 3/6/9
I am so happy that I told myself today was a rest day before this WOD was announced last night. I cannot imagine how bad this is. Kudos to all who are doing it. I’m luggage right now.
That was GROSS. 15 cals and Rx Cindy.
Note to self: Stop reading comments before I WOD.
Or be nicer to Mel…we can all help out to make sure she get’s what she wants for xMas;-)
Between last nights “strongman” specialty and today, I am very humbled.
i refused to post this morning because i didnt want to scare away anybody from this beauty of a wod.
15 Cals and Rx Cindy – thank goodness for the ones who went before and Jason – this is bad enough at 15 cals. Anytime there’s a rowing WOD that Zev scales, I know I am in trouble;-)
reading this is making me not want to fitness today
it was fine, youll be fine.
Started at 10 calorie row and dropped to 8 for the rest. Did 3 ring rows, 4 push ups and 6 squats. Did take a minute break at 17. It’s a slog, not a sprint!
If you haven’t done this WOD yet!!! I’m going to give you a tip.. The row is the row!
Here’s how you make up time on Cindy- When you come off the Rig, drop to the top of your Burpee and do your 10 PU’s, when your done your last PU, leap up just like your Burpee and go into first air squat.. Don’t waste time by walking around thinking about the next movement… Think “BURPEE” You should be able to complete all three moments is 30-40 seconds.. Leaving room to rest… Good luck..
15 cal, 4,8,12 straight through. the perfect combo to make this a suckfest. I was done with each right around 45-50 secs each minute. Good call Michelle!
did butterflies the whole way!… yes!
sort of broke out this way
Row: rds 1-5 12 cals, 6-10 10 cals, 11-15 8 cals
Cindy: rds 1-5 4,8,12, rds 6-15 3,6,9
At minute 24 I HATED Mel. At minute 29:37 I was so proud of myself 😉
Ring rows for pull ups
Don’t even know what to write. 15 cals and rx Cindy through 20 minutes… then a round of crap… then 10 cals and Cindy to the finish. Gave it all I had on this day. Mel 1. Rap 0.
Megalomaniac – 10 cal row rds 1-9, 15 cal row rd 10. 3/6/9 all the way through. RR instead of pullups due to elbow pain.
I was dragging all day and not feeling great when I came in so I was happy to scale down. I ended up with about 25 sec to spare each round and that short rest and a consistent pace was key.
Wow, just wow! I alternated rounds 10/3,6,9 and 8/4,8,12 thru the 25 minute mark and finished 8/3,6,9
Bananas: pre-Wod 30 min endurance run 4500 m; 1-4 10 cal, 5-8 8 cal, rest 6 cal 3-6-9
Having just figured the run – it was 2.81 miles @11:07/mile avg which just beat my Halloween 5k run by :25 sec avg/mile – I’ll take it!! Woo hoo! Not quite what you youngsters are doing but I’m proud of that improvement!
Correction: found a calculator on the Google- my mile split is 10:36 – that’s about :59 seconds faster per mile than my 5 k time!!!
YEAH LOURDES!!!
First 5 rounds 12 Cal and Cindy Rx. Remaining rounds were 9 Cal and 4-8-12. Love Cindy-Hate Rowing
12 cals rounds 1-15, 10 cals 16-30.
3, 6, 9 with red band for PU.
In the words of Matthew McConaughey from “Wolf of Wall Street”, I “tipped the “f” over and imploded”.
Wasn’t into this one mentally, but got shamed to come in by Rap and Conroy. Thanks fellas!
First 5 rounds, RX.
Then, dry heaved for 3 rounds. (literally, outside).
Then a few rounds of 15 cal, RX Cindy, and then we’ll just call it “movement” for the duration of the time. No rhyme or reason, no direction, just “movement”. I’m a beaten man after that one.
10 cals / 4,8,12 – happy I listened to Mel on scaling option. Exactly what I needed today. Finished all rows between 40-45 seconds and all “Cindy” rds between 34-38 seconds. All push ups unbroken which is a big improvement!
It’s all been said already. I loved, feared and hated “Megalomaniac” – 15 cal with 3-6-9 for the first 15 minutes then 12 cal with 3-6-9 for the remainder.
Liked this one 🙂 10 cal, 3-6-9 whole time. Used red band for most pull ups but did a few rounds without any. I need to get better at rowing!!
Melaglomaniac – This was the most mentally challenging WOD I’ve done in my CF career. My mental and physical state were compromised going in from a long week of teaching and coaching. Good news – I didn’t quit at the 9min mark, which is exactly what my mind was telling me to do. Regrouped with Mel’s assistance after being too aggressive the first 5 rounds.
Row: 1-5 15; 6 rest; 7-14 10; 15 15
Cindy: 1 5/6/9; 2-3 3/6/9; 4-5 2/5/9; 6-14 2/5/10; 15 3/6/10
