21.52 1 Abmat strict HSPU and green band BMU and attempts- beginning rounds felt good. Tried Blue band and couldn’t get over bar. Just figuring out this movement!

The Good, The Bad, and The Weird: Surprised myself with parallette HSPUs, really for the first time. Eventually had to add a few abmats in the WOD, but still, we’ll mark that as “good.” Caught on the edge of getting a BMU. Red band is no problem, no band is a problem. Didn’t get one today. We’ll mark that as “bad.” After the WOD, I linked two red bands, and loosely tied one end around the bar so that the bottom loop was about a foot and a half off the ground, and thus providing close to no assistance. Jump, kip, and right up and over the bar. That’s not “weird” but I most definitely am. #headcase #crutch #zevisright
The 6 month drought on bar MUs has ended.
I got all 30 of them today with only a few failed attempts in the final round of 10.
A couple successful parallette HSPUs in warmups and 2 in the first round but that was it, changed to HSPUs to the mat for the rest of the WOD.
20:20 was moving faster that this shows because of last round of MUs

6:47 — Strict HSPU to the floor; deficit ring rows.
This went by really fast — I wish I did c2b to make the wod more challenging but I’ve had a little elbow soreness and wanted to rest it. 1st time doing HSPU w/o abmats in a wod — much easier than I expected. I think I’ve had them for a while but it was a psychological thing getting my head to the floor.
19:00 doing 5,4,3,2,1 parallette hspu and 1,2,3,4,5 bar mu’s. Failed 1st attempt on bmu’s and 1st attempt on the set of three, but when I got up there they were all unbroken.
Stopped at 30min with 3 muscle up attempts left. Used parallettes with a 45# plate, 25# plate, and 1 ab mat. Made some of the muscle ups but did attempts.

17:34 [5# plate strict HSPU]. BMUs were a grind today. getting very close to a strict HSPU without scaling.
20min, 1abmat + small 5lb plate, blue band MU- 1/2 the muscle ups (1,2,3,4,5)

15:40 with HSPU. Did this in Aruba in a 90 degree gym. The bars were slippery. It was terrifying. Had 5-10 failed reps. Yikes.
