Another pseudo double session today. Went in to do burpees w/ Rap and then try to work out again, but Finley wasn’t having it.
I did get the burpees in though, which was lots of fun w/ the 5:30 crew. 40 seconds on, 20 seconds off really let me push thru the entire time.
96 total burpees.
1 Point today. I’m finding this zoning extremely difficult. Sara and I eat paleo for the most part and what I like most about that is that it forces me to have healthy eating habits, but I don’t have to worry about when and in what combo I eat. I’m not eating junk or processed foods, but I’m not eating blocks of protein, carbs and fats in each meal/snack.
Plus, I really enjoy a beer or a glass of wine after work when the house is quiet.
What’s the call on flavored seltzer water? Ingredients are carbonated water and natural flavors. I never know if carbonation is or isn’t good for you. (I like fizz….)

Thanks to Jeff for posting my 3 points last night. I was way tired and passed out on the couch before 10pm. I am finding that my energy level is really great throughout the day — consistently good — but then when I am ready for bed I am SO ready. I remember the same thing happening when I did a paleo challenge once where I was doing a similar amount of training (at least 5 times a week). Perhaps this is a more normal and better way to be…to have consistent energy for my waking hours and then sleep like the dead for 8-9 hours a night?
I had a “rest” day yesterday but wanted to do something active and I also wanted my exercise point. So while my little one was doing the CF kids class, I did two sets of 10 thrusters @ 45# and 5 pull ups (so, a slice of Jackie). I then did some more pull ups in sets of 2s and 3s. It is totally and completely outside my comfort zone to do any of this stuff outside a WOD. I never do this — maybe some pull-ups, but not much more than that. Jackie is a mental battle for me and I want to be able to do it in sets of 10 at the end of this challenge, thus my choice to work on those yesterday. Trying to get a bit more comfortable in a very uncomfortable mental and physical space!
