- Dudes Night: Rap is hosting an impromptu “Dude’s” night this Friday (6/11) at 6:45pm at DCF. There will be 4 team WODs that are tough but accessible. Teams of 2 or 3 will be randomly selected on site. RSVP to Rap ([email protected]) by Thursday if interested in throwing down.
- LADIES – While the Dudes have their fun, we’re going to sit back, relax and BBQ at Coach Kate’s place. This Friday 6/11 at 7pm. Post to comments if you’ll be joining us and post a dish that you’ll bring! Kate’s address will be available at the gym.

Things that helped/hurt:
Pull-ups – Butterfly ended before it started today. Not sure what happened, but kipping will do.
Push ups – Cue from Kate to flex hips and drive butt up first was a huge help. Hips don’t lie, and are stronger than arms, so driving from the hips made a huge difference.
T2B: whatevs.
GoodMornings: Fast and unbroken.
Box Jumps: Find a steady pace that allows unbroken, or in my case, 25/25. Oh, and I fell. And bled. Oh well.

My goal was no hands on my knees staring at the clock! A lot of sets of 5 throughout the workout with quick rests, good mornings unbroken and only one quick break during box jumps….
Not one of my finer days. 14:48. Felt great out the gate with the butterfly pullups. Hands ripped during second set of 10. Then other hand went during first set of TTB. Push-ups in sets of 5. Unbroken on good mornings and box jumps.
The specialty classes are great. And to say that after 50 strict HSPUs means you know I’m not lying.

Wake Up: 15:52. Kipping pull ups went well 10/10/5/5/5/2’s to finish, push ups went big to soon. Should have done sets of 5’s, T2B forget it. Sets of 1’s could not kip, good mornings straight, box jumps need to be slow and steady. Several step ups due to knee pain but most jumps done in a WOD in a couple months

Wake Up 17:41: RR, 35# GM, 1 plate assist on box jumps 20″. Thanks to Kerry who told me I was easily clearing the box so afterwards I tried jumping without the plate…oh yeah, I can do it. Another confidence builder!

Wake Up- 20:55 rx. Feeling it big time today after Monday and Tuesday. Pull ups felt good after Monday’s pull up class, push ups were good in sets of 5, but all went to the bucket on T2B. Lost kip on first set and then did doubles and triples. Wasn’t going to do 24 in box but I am glad I pushed myself. Great one today!

Did on Thirsday. Modified to 20 strict red band pull-ups, 30 hand release push-ups, 20 god-awful strict toes to bar, 30 good mornings 35# bar, 30 dreadful pistols until I put a 5# plate under my heel. 16:05. Uuuuugh.
