All front squats unbroken. Pull ups were all singles, working on the butterfly technique 1 by 1. Was able to get my chest there every time with a big kip and keeping my lets out front longer.
6:18 rx. front squats- 1st round unbroken and then i hit 8/4, 7/7, 7/5 on the last three rounds. id like to think if it wasnt for my legs being destroyed and my knee being swollen i wouldve went unbroken, but oh well. c2b sucked – im able to come to the specialty class on friday and im really hoping that theres some extra pullup work in there to help me improve these
Reckoner: 9:18 #115. Weight was perfect today for tired legs and sore knee. C2B were all sets of 3’s 2’s and singles but happy that I finally am able to get them in a WOD complete and string a bunch together..
Reckoner – 12:30 Rx. Worked especially hard on form and standards today (thanks Coach Kate). frankly very fired up to have done this Rx. Squat reps: unbroken, 8/4, 7/5, 8/4. CTBs every round was able to get 5-6 hanging singles and then fast singles thereafter
11:13 Rx This was tough! Although, like Zev was saying, very pleased I did this Rx considering it wasn’t long ago I couldn’t do a single C2B.
Front squats were unbroken until last round which was 9/3, was starting to really round out.
C2B were a lot of “violent” singles that I chipped away at. Last round I had a few fails and I thought I’d never finish….
“Reckoner” 8:30 65# Squats unbroken 6 of 12 KPU without a band. It felt good to fight for the KPU. I need to keep working on better form but I’m SOOO done with the bands. In the past few weeks I’ve made some nice gains! My cleans are solid at 65#, HS-holds and No more bands!! HELL YA..
“Reckoner” 12:18 All squarts unbroken 60# which is a a record for me! PU blue band, struggled with singles last round, thanks for the encouragement Michelle!
Back at the lake –
2 mile run – 17:?? (didn’t have phone with me because of rain)
10 min Rest/ stretch – 10:00

100 DU
3rd- 12 C2B & 12 pistols
100 DU
19:20
Felt slow & tough but knowing how far these movements have come in just 4 months helps. Strung 4 c2b 3x, pistols are solid on right and left are much improved since a few weeks ago and although the new rope is awesome, it does not give me wind & coordination so was good to practice these totally gassed. Max unbroken was 30.
Couldn’t agree more .. This was one of my favorite workouts to coach .. Watching athletes get after it and truly push themselves was so inspiring and the best way to both start and end my day.. Way to go DCF!
Reckoner: hah – autocorrect on my iPhone changed Reckoner to Recliner 🙂 not so much!!!
9:13 55# first full pull up work out – yeah…with the help of my lovely assistants – green and red bands…
11:51 85# Knew this one was going to be rough. Thanks to Michelle for the support – helped me finish. Got to get the mind right. A slippery hand can give me an excuse to rest and that is just lazy.
“Reckoner” – 6:42 Rx
