6 Rope Climbs
11 Box Jumps (30/24)
*Partner 1 will perform the work above. Partner 2 will run 400 Meters with a 45#/25# plate. Once partner 2 completes the 400 meters, partner 1 will grab the plate and run as partner 2 picks up where partner 1 left off.

This WOD was created specifically to honor the 30 men and one dog that gave their lives for our country on August 6, 2011. It is 31 minutes long—one minute in remembrance of each hero. The rep scheme is 8-6-11—the date of their ultimate sacrifice. Finally, this is a partner WOD. The men who gave their lives were from multiple branches of our military, working together as a team. In the workout you and your team member will constantly be taking the load from each other providing much needed support and relief.

Partnered with Martha (my mom who just signed up to join Daybreak today!) She used 55#/ring climbs/20″/rowing and I used 105#/3 jumping legless rope climbs/24″/run with 25#.

“31 Heroes” 5+7 RX. Partnered up with my buddy Andrew V who dropped in! Awesome WOD. He totally killed it. Super happy to go RX on this. Definitely the heaviest thrusters I have done in a WOD. Also got my first legless rope climbs today which was awesome. Plate runs were more like plate walks. I love the fact that I’ve done more Hero WODs in my first 4 weeks at Daybreak than in my whole crossfit career!
31 heros – 6+5 with Jackson. 135#, 3 legless, 30, and 45#, 3 rope climbs, 20. Great 8 am class and great to be back!!!
“31 Heroes” partnered with Tova 7+15. Lourdes: 55#, 20″, 15# Tova: 25#, 20″ weightless run (sore “hammy” – that’s Michele speak for hamstring :)) Tova totally rocked out the indoor sequence – nice job!! While running with the 15# plate, it occurred to me that I’ve lost that 15# since joining DCF 5 months ago in body weight – they say life is about the journey…I am grateful and hooked on this crossfit adventure…and happy to drop that 15# plate on the grass at the end of a 400 m run!!
