No time for me today. Had something funky going on w/ my right shoulder and spent more time trying to work the issues out. Did manage to get a few rounds of row, 10 x 135# push jerk and a few muscle ups, but nothing official.
Put up a Y* for the nutrition challenge. The asterisk means I ate clean, but had a glass of wine. Still did my 50 burpees, and doing it out of protest after Tony D. shamed me into this challenge again. Thanks Tony! I’ll really be thanking you in 30 days.
Capped out at 20 minutes with 9 jerks and 5 muscle ups remaining. 155# for the jerks and RX on the muscle ups. No failed MUs for the 15 I completed. That was more than my cumulative lifetime number coming into today. Thanks Mel.
“Wake Up Call”- 20:29 w/ 125# and 3 muscle ups every round. All push jerks unbroken. All singles on the muscle ups with no failed attempts. This was a huge PR for me. Definitely the most muscle ups I’ve ever done in a wod.
19:30 – 165#/MU Transitions – For me, 165 was a lot of weight, and devolved into singles and doubles in rounds 3 & 4. I definitely wanted to wait out the time cap, but the push from The Clarkes and Erica got me over the top and back to the rings (for Mel’s new MU transition which is already making a difference).
“Wake up Call” – 20:45, #125 PJ sets went 8/2, 7/3,10.
MU’s – 3 & 2 fails, 2 & 3 fails, 4 & 1 fail, 5, 4 & 4 fails, (couldn’t get #5 in the 4th round)
Trying to keep up with Michele next to me, PR for me on MUs (18) most ever in a WOD!
19:20. Rx weight, MUT’s. No real method to the jerks, but I was able to string together bigger sets in the later rounds. Need to work on jumping the weight up on the jerks.
Stopped at 21:40. Had nothing left. Went with 155#. Ankle mobility needs to improve to get better dip and drive. MUs went well but smoked me. Tried to connect 3 in all 4 rounds. Came close twice. Other 2, 3rd wasn’t close. Did all the MUs. Finished with only 2 in rd 4.
“Wake me up 2.0” 17:21 (i think…) juat moved through the 4 rds at a measured pace. Day 2 post tri.

Wake Up Call: 14:30, 50#, MUTs. Push Jerks were mostly Push Presses…the mechanics of “getting under the bar” escape me.
