Had to get on the road from Natick by 9am so hit up my old stomping grounds for a fun partner WOD.
“Apple Jacks” 26:00 (60# and step overs) weight was supposed to be about 15-20# less than Grace weight so my partner and I compromised in the middle. Will go 65 or 70 next time 🙂

28 rds rx. 6-6-5-5-6. Tied my PR. Had a long mental dialogue with a very persuasive 4th round.
Went a little something like this:
Rap: I am 5 rounds into the 4th round and have 30 seconds left… I can get 6 and be on my way to a PR.
4th Rd: No, it’s okay. It’s Christmas and you’ve eaten a lot of questionable food. If you just stop now and tie your PR, you should still consider this a victory.
Rap: But Mel is looking over here, I need to pick up the bar.
4th Rd: Don’t worry, she’ll move to the next athlete, just look at her and shake your head.
Rap: But she is going to be pissed.
4th Round: Breath a little heavier, she’ll think you’re exhausted.
Rap: I’ve tried that back in 2012, she knows that trick.
4th Rd: Well then, just relax and you’ll get 7 in last round.
Rap: What?!? You’re crazy. I’m exhausted.
4th Rd: Well, given all this back and forth, you only have 5 seconds left.
Rap: Dammit.
I thought I was the only one who has dialogues like this. Good for you! Ski house wod 50 burpees, 50 squats, 50 jumping jacks, 5 stair climbs, 2 rounds. 10 hollow rocks rolls (150 hollow rocks in total).
The Chief: 19 65# last series sub RKB for PU – bested reps from August but left elbow issue kept the weight low.
Endurance WOD: 4×300 run, 200 jog, 500 run, 100 walk (target 5:00-5:15) 5:53, 5:53, 6:03, 6:04

During that fourth round I looked up and saw that there were 43 seconds left… and the inner dialogue went something like Rap’s. Do I do another one?… well you wasted 8 seconds thinking about it, and now there isn’t enough time.
