- PELVIC FLOOR SEMINAR: That’s our professional way of saying we’re offering a FREE clinic to help you control your bladder while exercising (double unders, box jumps, running, heavy lifts), sneezing, coughing, etc. This is open to men and women and will take place on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:30a in Wayland, Brooke Reilly from Joint Ventures will educate us on how the pelvic floor works, how to strengthen it and will send you home with basic exercises. - MIDLINE SEMINAR: What the heck is your midline and how do you activate it?? On Saturday, October 19th at 10am in Acton, Jamal will host a seminar on how to recruit the midline (abdominals, obliques and spinal erectors) correctly to assist you in almost all our CrossFit movements, let alone, functional activities outside the gym. U.S. Marine Corps Captain Brandon “Bull” Barrett, 27, of Marion, Indiana, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was killed on May 5, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents Cindy and Brett Barrett, his sisters Ashley and Taylor Barrett, his brother Brock Barrett, and his grandmother Carmen Johnson.
WOD Guidance & Goals:
With your partner, break double unders, overhead squats and pull ups into any rep schemes you would like with one person working at a time. Run is done 400 meters at a time. Try bigger sets of double unders, sets of 10 overhead squats and sets of 5-10 pull ups. Target 28 minutes.
