6:49 Rx
Well gang, a lesson in playing to the whistle today. Before the WOD, I was convinced my PR was 6:39. When I realized during pull-ups I wasn’t going to finish in time, I took my foot off the gas and gave up. To my surprise, when I looked after WOD, my PR was actually 6:48. 6:39 was Rap’s PR that I wanted to chase.
The lesson here – do YOUR best workout. My stupid competitive streak cost me a PR by :01 second. Oh well. Until next time.
#doyourbest #doyourjob

Looking to find my mental strength again. This past week has been horrible, wanting to quit during WODs…never happened before in consecutive workouts. It’s a spiral I am not familiar with and am opened to suggestions as to how to pull out of it…thanks Sara Brown for your push this morning. Very needed.
It’s been an emotional time for you. Happens. Life ebbs and flows. Stay the course and it will come back. We’ve got your back the whole way. #mentaltoughness
Wow, Lourdes, that is tremendous going Rx. On the wods I would say just keep moving. You will finish one way or the other. Just break up the wod into manageable parts and focus on the task ahead. As Bill says we are all pulling for you.
I would say you had some serious mental strength last night at the wod! First of all your front squats are amazing! And the wod? You were in beast mode pushing that plate next to me. You have got this…
10:06 rx
7:09 Rx
50 thrusters, 15-15 pull-ups
8:59 Rx ( 1:09 PR – thanks to Michele for looking it up for me!) and thanks to Bill for being in my ear the whole time. Quite certain I wouldn’t have moved that fast on the pull ups. Time to be made up on the thrusters though. 30/10/10 with some
Pausing while holding bar. Feeling Mondays WOD the whole time.
Nice work Lourdes. You finished and moved steady. I have been in your shoes so many times I the past and lately. Always feels better when you are done. Showing up is the hardest part- sometime you just have to move. Hang in there lady! Great to WOD with you today
10:25RX
14:10 rx (only took 12:38 last time)
Still – most pullups I’ve done in a long time and my arm felt ok, as long as they took
11:50rx

7:33 Rx
Thrusters Unbroken – Push Harder Next Time
PU – Need to String Bigger Set Together, broke down to sets of 2 at the end.
12:34 – 45# front squats (shoulder) and green and red pull ups
9:29 [PR]… Previous was 11:22…
Strong row, thrusters 30/10/5/5 with a lovely bout of “shaky leg syndrome” around #20… Thought my legs were gonna say “ya, were just gonna SHUT down on you for about 15 minutes…”
Then PUs were in groups of 5 and 3… I gotta learn how to string more than that together….
Finished with more burpees.. Only 100 to go
6:57 rx. PR is 6:49
35/15
