“Lumberjack 20”: 26:16 Hats off to those that go Rx – incredible; mine felt like every stage was really tough so I can’t even imagine (that’s you, Rapp!). Now to the list of mods… DL 185#, KB 53#, Front Squat 65#, RR, DBSC 35#, good speed on the runs. All sets unbroken until the DBSC and I’m sure even some of those last few would have deserved a “No Rep”.
To paraphrase what I heard this morning, “I love Lumberjack in a weird and twisted way.”

1.5 miles run- recovery (Not a problem) except after Burpee round needed to find my breath again. The key to this WOD was go with less weight and get straight sets.. Thanks Mel, that was great advise.

Holy cow. My quads wanted to quit after the 4th 400m. “Shuffles McGee” was out in full force on the runs after the burpees and ESPECIALLY the squat cleans. Oh the squat cleans. Those were the workout right there. I think that last 400m run took me over 2:30. Happy to just have completed this one.

“Lumberjack 20″ — 31:10 — that was a tough one — I’d like to meet the twisted individual who devised it.
Deadlift 115# (20), Kettlebell swings 35# (20), Overhead squats 25# (20 — focused mostly on form, which is still shaky but getting better), Burpees (20), Ring Rows (10/8/2), 20” Box Jumps (20), Dumbbell squat cleans 15# dbs (20)
Feel good about moving through straight sets on everything except RR. But my running was slooooow because my legs felt dead. Just glad I got out the door after DBSC in time to get in the last lap and finish the workout.
Well look who it is! Steph said you guys had started to CF, but I didn’t realize it was at Daybreak. You landed at an amazing place. Tell Brett I hope the shin feels better, and it was great to see her. Can’t wait to hear about all the progress. Enjoy being bit by the bug!
Well, well! Brett said she saw you there today — you considering a change of venue? It’s a great place and I’ve definitely been bit by the bug. I’ve got a ways to go before I’m where I want to be but I’m feeling some good results and I can’t imagine ever going back to the old routine. “Lumberjack 20” – 24:90 with a ton of modification. 205# romaine deadlift, 45# 1 legged OHS, 45# dumbbell hang cleans and row substituted for the run. Rx on the KBS, burpees and box jumps.

“Lumberjack” 29:58 Just under the cap! Only modification was 95# OHS. Started strong with unbroken DL’s and KB’s then my runs just went south after the burpees…as painful as it was, great WOD!
29:55 (yes made it with 5 seconds to spare) – that was really hard and I barely used any weight b/c of muscle pull from flipping tires yesterday. DL 45#, KBS 26#, OHS 15#, ring dips, step ups @ 20# and squats – and still took me the whole time . . .
Lumberjack – 28:50 Mods – #185 DL, #85 OHS, #35 SCs. First time in 2014 that running helped vs. hurt my time.
